Sharon Looyen is our nutritionist. When she was eighteen, her kidney was removed because of a chronic disease. This is how her interest in food started, because she had to deal with a poor bowel function. She found that a lot of doctors couldn’t give good information about food and lifestyles. Sharon pursued multiple courses to acquire substantial knowledge about the power of food and its effect on intestinal flora, as well as its effect during pregnancy. Conscious food consumption during pregnancy helps the mother and also gives the baby a healthy start, because everything she eats during her pregnancy is passed on to her unborn child. Sharon helps clients with information about important products that will also boost their immune systems. Instead of paying attention to all that is forbidden during pregnancy, she helps clients take a positive view and shows them what they can eat. Intestinal flora are responsible for 80% of a person’s immune system, energy, skin and hair condition and general health. During a vaginal labour, the baby will come into contact with the mother’s intestinal flora, so in the last phase of pregnancy, it’s important to pay attention to them and keep them as healthy as possible.
